Additive manufacturing (AM) stands for more flexibility and greater efficiency in production. But what is behind this technology? Where are shaping welding processes used profitably and how can current results from research and development be transferred into operational practice?
Two new event formats from the DVS - German Welding Society provide answers to these questions:
#additive manufacturing: welding in bestFORM
DVS conference with accompanying exhibition
on October 14, 2020 in Essen
The DVS conference #additivefertigung: schweißen in bestFORM informs for the first time about additive manufacturing processes using arc and beam welding. The lectures will present and discuss topics relating to component design, process control with laser beam and arc, materials, system construction and arc sources. The accompanying exhibition will showcase current and future products and services.
#additivemanufacturing: Research for tomorrow -
discuss and decide
on October 15, 2020 in Essen
In addition, the Research Association for Welding and Allied Processes e. V. of DVS invites members and interested parties to discuss and decide on possible research projects for the industry. Research institutions will present application-oriented project outlines on additive manufacturing. Together with the companies, they will identify pre-competitive research needs and propose projects for funding.
Both events will take place in compliance with Messe Essen's hygiene measures.
