A free webinar on July 2, 2025 will deal with PFAS in firefighting foams. Bans on such foams will soon come into force and time is running out for their substitution. For some time now, certain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) used in firefighting foams have been the subject of various regulations in the REACH and POP regulations. Newly added or planned restrictions on use and bans increase the complexity of dealing with PFAS in fire-fighting foams. A separate event on this topic is therefore necessary.

The REACH-CLP Biocide Helpdesk invites all companies and specialists for whom fire-fighting foams are part of their everyday work. The event is aimed in particular at operators of extinguishing systems and users who have to implement the (new) requirements.

The aim of the event is to provide comprehensive information on the current regulations. After the current situation has been described in detail, the focus will be on the future: What regulations are still to come? What timeframes must be expected? The event will conclude with assistance and advice on substitution and what needs to be considered when switching to fluorine-free fire extinguishing foams. Participants can expect comprehensive information and practical insights into the current and new regulations.

Registration deadline is June 27, 2025.
