Dr. Richard Suchentrunk, geb. 1943, promovierte an der Technischen Universität Wien und war Leiter der Oberflächentechnik im Werkstofflabor der Airbus GmbH in Ottobrunn und später auch in der Daimler Forschung. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Publikationen auf den Gebieten Oberflächenbehandlung und Beschichtung von Kunststoffen und Kompositen mit elektrochemischen, physikalischen und plasmachemischen Verfahren. Seit vielen Jahren betreut er auch redaktionell den Abschnitt Dünnschicht- und Plasmatechnik in der Fachzeitschrift Galvanotechnik des Eugen G. Leuze Verlags.
