anjo Oberflächentechnik GmbH was founded in 2008 and has been growing steadily ever since, but has remained a family business in its purest form.
anjo Oberflächentechnik GmbH is a developer and manufacturer of specialty chemicals for the electroplating industry. The name was coined by senior partner Dr. Klaus Peter Klos on the occasion of a celebration. It is nothing more than an acronym of the first names of his two children Anna and Johannes. Both are now partners and managing directors of the company.
In 2020, the company moved from its original location on Hans-Böckler-Strasse in Trebur to the nearby Adam-Opel-Strasse, where it has much more space and three times the storage and production capacity. This relocation last year could not be celebrated immediately due to the coronavirus crisis, but this was made up for in late summer 2021. It was also celebrated because there is now more space available for training and theory, as well as for many practical applications.
The laboratory with its numerous possibilities is now housed in a single room. The following analyses can be carried out with the extensive range of equipment:
- Microsection preparation
- microscopy
(light microscope and REM/EDX) - Hardness testing
- HPLC
- LCMS
- Ion chromatography
- FTIR
- Automatic titrations
- ICP-OES
- GC
- GC-MS
- Salt spray test
- Kesternich test
- Screw test bench
However, particular attention is paid to zinc and its alloys, with special expertise in zinc-nickel including membrane and passivation technology. There is also a high-performance zinc bath.
Please note: Klaus-Peter Klos and Johannes Klos will be publishing a series of articles on various analysis methods in surface coating for "Galvanotechnik" in the coming months.
