With a foundation rich in tradition and a great deal of innovative spirit, Munk GmbH has been shaping and helping to shape the market for industrial power supply solutions since 1970. The 55th anniversary of the family-owned company is marked by big steps and confident prospects - but also by regrets.
In addition to high product quality and in-depth expertise gained over many years, the healthy company development of Munk GmbH from Hamm is reflected in very different facets: starting with high research and development investments and global expansion through to regional commitment and a wide range of promotional activities.
Internationalization and consistent growth
The growth path of Munk GmbH is reflected, among other things, in the fact that three production sites have now been established in Germany as well as an extensive international network. Further milestones as a global player are on the horizon. The company demonstrates customer proximity and presence through competent partners in Europe, Asia, Turkey, the USA and South America as well as at numerous trade fairs and events worldwide. Plans to expand into the United States have already been finalized, as the US market holds great potential. Munk can make effective progress here with established cooperation partners and convincing quality. In addition, the development of new, trend-setting markets such as hydrogen technology, water treatment and medical technology is already in full swing.

With technical innovations such as the compact Gamma L3+ series switching power supplies or the highly flexible PSP Tower switching power supplies, the electroplating experts from Hamm cover all current and future requirements of demanding applications.
Last but not least, the "Munk Area Network (MAN)" together with the Munk Gateway as a digital interface meets the growing demand for intelligent 4.0 standards and smart IoT solutions. Particularly against the backdrop of international expansion, this digital foundation provides a good basis for modern requirements such as global online support.
The future at Munk
In its 55th anniversary year, the family-run company from Hamm-Rhynern employs around 150 people. Despite a shortage of skilled workers and the pandemic, the company has achieved overall growth of 15% since 2020. The training rate is also at 15%, which is not least due to the strong promotion of new team members and the expansion of the training spectrum: Munk trains EU industrial clerks, industrial mechanics and electricians, among others. "If you want to shape the future, you first have to build a solid foundation for it - and we have many pillars for this," emphasizes Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. Frank Munk. Despite all that has been achieved and the confident outlook for the future, "55 years of Munk" is also a time of regret. Karl Heinz Munk, who laid the foundation for all of this in 1970, passed away in 2024 at the age of 82 - the Munk GmbH team is carrying his vision responsibly into the future.
