Carry out and document bonding processes safely

The storage of adhesives and all processes associated with bonding are challenging. Technical Trade not only advises on products and processes, but also on how companies can ensure the durability and functionality of adhesives. Depending on their chemical composition and the substances they contain, some adhesives are legally classified as hazardous substances. Correspondingly high requirements are placed on their storage and all processing steps. Adhesives only remain intact under dry, cool conditions with little sunlight. If the requirements are not met, the user can generally not assert any warranty claims against the manufacturer, supplier or dealer.

In a cooperation between BetterAdhesiveTracking (BAT) and VTH quality partner Marston-Domsel GmbH, an app for professional adhesive documentation and monitoring has been developed to closely monitor all processes relating to adhesives and bonding. This uses various sensors, including for temperature, light and humidity measurements. The sensor data is read out in real time and automatically integrated into the digital documentation process. Companies can obtain advice and purchase the app via the dealers organized in the VTH.

The technical dealers also explain to their customers how they can use the documentation so effectively that the shelf life limits of all adhesives in the business are never exceeded and they remain fully functional at all times. This is because warranty claims can only be successfully asserted or claims for damages raised or averted in the event of a dispute over material defects if they are handled correctly in the company.
