With the new DAV1200 PWM module, STV Electronic has introduced an IP-based controller for LED lighting control that has been developed for industrial image processing applications. Thanks to the latest processor architecture, it is easy to parameterize and operate via a web interface, HTTP or Modbus TCP. Even without programming knowledge, users can set their lighting settings in no time at all. In addition to continuous LED lighting, flash mode is also possible, which is triggered via a 5 V input.
The module is suitable for all LED lighting systems that are controlled by pulse width modulation. It offers four 24 V PWM channels, each with an output current of 1 A. In addition to RGB systems, it can also be used to control four-color and multi-angle lighting. The module can be expanded via the integrated STV light bus. "Our DAV1200 controller is a user-friendly overall package: expert knowledge for parameterization can be replaced by a simple selection of pre-configured LED lighting systems," explains Markus Hühn, Managing Director of STV Electronic GmbH. Settings can be adjusted IP-based via browser without special software. This makes it very easy to set the parameters remotely. The PWM module offers four integrated channels. This means that a preconfigured data set can be stored for each LED lighting system, so that no electrical knowledge is required for operation. To ensure that the new module can be used with any LED lighting/camera combination, four PWM frequencies can be set to avoid interference with the camera's exposure time.
In addition to OEM labeling options, firmware updates can also be carried out via USB connection to adapt the user interface to the system integrator's design or to preconfigure an OEM's LED systems.
