The family-run company Winterhalter has made a name for itself worldwide as a specialist in commercial warewashing systems and dishwashers - and is now the international market leader in its sector.
The company is also leading the way when it comes to sustainability: with its innovative warewashing technology solutions, but also at its headquarters in Meckenbeuren, Baden-Württemberg. The company has been pursuing an ambitious sustainability strategy for many years and aims to gradually reduce itsCO2 emissions. Photovoltaics (PV) plays an important role in this. In collaboration with the Marburg-based solar carport pioneer Sopago, Winterhalter is currently roofing over 194 employee parking spaces - and installing PV modules there that generate a total output of 500 kilowatt peak (kWp) of green electricity. The employees of the warewashing technology specialist are also benefiting from the photovoltaic project. They have welcomed it from the outset and have made many positive comments: "In addition to the ecological aspect, our employees are particularly pleased that they can now park and charge their vehicles protected from the weather - in summer and winter."
