Clear coats from used tires

BASF Coatings recently officially launched new product lines. The next generation of clear coats utilizes the company's e ChemCycling technology and promotes sustainability in the refinish industry.

The product lines, made from recycled raw materials, will be marketed under BASF's premium brands Glasurit and R-M and will increase the efficiency and productivity of body stores. The products not only contribute to the circular economy, but also reduceCO2 emissions. With the help of the technology, recycled raw materials from used tires are used to manufacture certified Ccycled products so that they no longer have to end up in landfills or incinerators. The recycled raw materials are added to the certified Ccycled clearcoats using a mass balance approach.
