Hydrogen weeks of the DVGW

Hydrogen weeks of the DVGW

The German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water's Hydrogen Weeks will run until July 2, 2021. Over 20 live events, daily H2 updates, the latest research results and exciting discussions - for four weeks, the DVGW is putting the spotlight on hydrogen and discussing the role it will play in our energy supply in the future.

The global focus on climate protection is on hydrogen. The energy carrier has quickly established itself as a source of hope, including for the German energy transition. The European and national hydrogen strategies are intended to set the course for the ramp-up of corresponding technologies and applications.

But the idea also raises many questions: Where will the required quantities of hydrogen come from? How will it be transported and distributed? How much hydrogen can gas applications and appliances handle? And how much will it cost to adapt to the new hydrogen world? The DVGW is getting to the bottom of these questions during its Hydrogen Weeks. In more than 20 virtual lectures, studies and research results will be presented, well-founded data and facts will be provided and experts and industry players will have their say.

Each week, a specific aspect of hydrogen is covered:

Week 1: Security of supply & resilience June 7 to 11, 2020

Week 2: Transport and distribution June 14 to 18, 2020

Week 3: Heat & Processes June 21 to 25, 2021

Week 4: Social Sustainability June 28 to July 2, 2021
