Sustainable production site

Sustainable production site

Veolia Water Technologies is currently building what it describes as the "most sustainable production site in the world". The plant is being built in Rivas (Spain) and offers a wide range of services and complex systems for water and wastewater treatment as well as a large selection of standardized products. Whether reverse osmosis systems, ultrafiltration, softening or ion exchangers, the water expert's portfolio includes sustainable solutions for all water treatment, purification and conditioning challenges.

The new production facility will consist of a total of three buildings. The site will cover a total area of 16,100 square meters.

Efficiency, reuse and recycling of water are not only Veolia's expertise, but will also be at the heart of the site and its way of working in the future. The roofs will be fitted with solar panels to produce 100 kilowatts of electricity per hour - the equivalent of watching a 55-inch LED TV for 1,000 hours. In addition, water conservation measures have been implemented in all three buildings.
