The GALVABAU Air-Jet dryers are still very popular 25 years after their market launch. The gentle and stain-free drying of complex parts is and remains a major topic in electroplating technology. The Air-Jet dryers are adapted to customer requirements and integrated into new or existing systems.
Retrofitting existing systems with this drying system has proved very successful in recent years and they are now in use worldwide. How does an air jet dryer work? After the drying process has started, devices arranged on both sides and designed as nozzle blocks move past the fabric in opposite directions and guide pulsed compressed air over the fabric. The adhering droplets are broken up into aerosols and discharged via the exhaust air. The remaining liquid film is so thin that it can no longer coalesce into droplets and evaporates at low temperatures. All parameters such as register speed, number of movements, blow-off pressure and valve opening time can be freely selected for specific parts, so that gentle and stain-free drying can be achieved.
To date, we have not identified any restrictions with regard to the area of application and materials of the parts to be dried. There are restrictions in terms of part geometry (blind holes) and part attachment to the rack. We would be happy to prove to you in our test dryer in Hergiswil that we can also dry your parts without stains.
