The new high-performance relay of the G9KA series from Omron Electronic Components Europe operates with a voltage capacity of 1000 VAC and a current of 300 A. This guarantees a mechanical service life of 100,000 switching cycles. The contact resistance of maximum 0.2 mΩ minimizes the heating of the contact terminals for the transmission of high current loads. The submersible relay design ensures high endurance performance and lower power consumption, while the terminals improve heat dissipation.
Applications include grid-connected inverters and uninterruptible power supplies. The G9KA series can also be used in inverters for photovoltaic and energy storage systems. G9KA-E is especially suitable for use in 200-400 kVA/600-800 VAC inverters. This version is suitable for UPS inputs and outputs that enable disconnection from the mains and the load. A particular advantage is its suitability for 100-200 kVA power supplies with three-phase 400 VAC input/output circuits. The PCB high power relay thus replaces conventional contactors in all applications, reduces the weight and size of the systems and enables simpler manual or automated assembly.
