Durable industrial 3D NAND SSDs

The SLC-liteX industrial 3D NAND flash SSDs from Taiwanese manufacturer Apacer Technology enable 100,000 P/E cycles (program/erase cycles). This is three to 33 times more than the competition's 2D MLC or 3D TLC products. They therefore meet the requirements of 5G and IoT manufacturers for massive data acquisition and data analysis. Apacer's SLC-liteX SSDs also offer high capacity, high performance and optimized endurance. This required careful cell distribution management of the 3D TLC structure to correctly adjust the voltage delta and charge collection. Apacer firmware experts also optimized the firmware structure from selected industrial-grade NAND components to increase the stability of the NAND flash in daily operation. In addition, the error handling algorithm has been significantly improved to avoid unexpected corner errors.

The SLC-liteX SSDs offer advantages thanks to their extended service life, especially in the gaming sector, in monitoring applications, edge computing and 5G Smart AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things). For demanding environments, these storage solutions are also available with extended functions, such as a wide temperature range from -40 to +85 °C. Application areas such as 5G Open-RAN and edge computing switches require more durable memory solutions than the 3000 P/E cycles that have been common up to now, preferably with the same cost efficiency.
