Renesas Electronics has moved and standardized the development of all PCB designs to the cloud-based software Altium 365.
The benefits of the Altium platform include support for collaboration between all parties involved, a high level of intellectual property (IP) protection and comprehensive revision control. By using CAD-specific intelligence, data is stored and retrieved online. Renesas is currently preparing the integration of its ECAD libraries into the Altium library. Chris Allexandre, Senior Vice President at Renesas, sees the cooperation as a first step in the collaboration with Altium. The partnership is to be further expanded in the future.
