If damage occurs to electronic assemblies that significantly impairs their functionality or even causes a failure, a follow-up inspection is essential. Sufficient knowledge and tools are required for a detailed and systematic damage analysis so that damage mechanisms such as corrosion can be identified and dealt with.
To ensure that even complex cases can be solved, the ZESTRON Academy is organizing an intensive training course on damage analysis for corrosion and leakage current on electronic assemblies on 8 and 9 October 2020. Over two half days, participants will first receive an introduction to the world of failure analysis and learn about various failure mechanisms, the systematic approach to damage and widely used analytical methods. The theory is then put into practice and a total of three cases of damage are worked on. The knowledge gained will be summarized again and again and what has been learned will be reflected upon.
