New high-speed camera for use in industry and research

In March 2022, High Speed Vision (HS Vision) presented the Phantom VEO 610, a new high-speed camera in its VEO camera series, which is intended for analyzing processes in industry and research. According to HS Vision, the outstanding performance feature of its VEO cameras is their very high light sensitivity and low signal-to-noise ratio, which is why high-quality images can be taken even in unfavorable lighting conditions without the need for expensive additional lighting.

The new VEO 610 with its latest generation 12-bit CMOS sensor delivers up to 5610 images per second at a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels (1.2 MP). With reduced image resolution, up to 218,970 fps can be recorded. It offers an ISO sensitivity of 25,000 for mono and 6,400 for color in daylight and up to ISO 50,000 for mono and 8,000 for color in binned mode (4 pixels). The two housing types, S or L model, give the user the option of choosing the best configuration in terms of performance, functions, connections and budget. The VEO 610 has Nikon F (G-type) lens mounts, Canon EF and C-mount are optionally available.
The compact and robust camera with aluminum housing and integrated memory up to 72 GB is shock resistant up to 30G (100G optional). It is ideal for mobile use or in confined spaces. It can be used in temperatures ranging from -10° to +50° C. The optional 10 Gbit Ethernet interface enables the 72GB memory to be downloaded to the PC in less than 2 minutes.
In addition to the purely visual evaluation of individual images and videos, the software included in the scope of delivery also offers numerous important measurement functions, including measurements of time, position, distance, speed, angle and angular velocity.
