Infineon Technologies has acquired the electroplating company Syntronixs Asia in Malaysia. Founded in 2006, the company specializes in precision electroplating, a key process in the assembly of semiconductors. Syntronix Asia has been an important supplier to Infineon since 2009. The company currently has more than 500 employees.
Infineon has 13 back-end sites worldwide, the largest of which is located in Melaka, between the city-state of Singapore and the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
