Vision Engineering, a manufacturer of microscopes and measuring systems based in Woking (UK) with a German subsidiary in Emmering, has appointed Sam Crossley as Managing Director. A former member of the Rotork management team, Crossley has in-depth market knowledge in petrochemicals, mining and automation.
His experience includes managing the company's growth in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Russia, Europe, Africa and North America. Mark Curtis, currently Managing Director, will continue to lead the Vision Engineering Group as CEO and focus on strategic development.

On June 6, 2023, Vision Engineering announced the completion of its 1000th third generation inspection microscope 'Mantis' at its Connecticut manufacturing facility. Mantis combines Vision Engineering's eyepiece-less ergonomic technology with the latest developments in optics, digital cameras and adjustable LED illumination at the forefront of stereo imaging.
