Technology group takes over Belgian electronics supplier

The technology and industrial group Alliance Electronics has completed the acquisition of ACE Electronics Belgium, an electronics supplier based in Belgium, as part of Alliance Electronics' strategy to become the European market leader in the high-mix/low-volume segment.

The acquisition is intended to support the growth of ACE Electronics through joint investments, particularly in digitalization. Johan Lieten will remain at the head of the ACE Electronics Belgium team. Armel Fourreau, CEO of Alliance Electronics, explains: "We liked the dynamism of Johan Lieten and his team, as well as the good level of investment in his industrial equipment. The flexibility and expertise of ACE Electronics convinced both Alliance Electronics and Johan to join forces." ACE Electronics Belgium develops and produces high-end electronic applications for a wide range of industries. Its comprehensive services range from engineering to just-in-time delivery of fully assembled microelectronic applications.

This acquisition brings the number of Alliance Electronics' industrial sites to five, including two in France, one in Tunisia, one in Portugal and now one in Belgium, with a total of 820 employees. In combination with further acquisitions, Alliance Electronics will reach its sales target of €100 million in 2022 thanks to the support of its financial partner Waterland Private Equity.
