As part of the leading international trade fair for quality assurance Control 2021 in Stuttgart, Fraunhofer Vision, in cooperation with P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG, is organizing the special show "Non-contact measurement technology" for the 17th time. On around 330 square meters in Hall 6, the special show will present a cross-section of innovative technologies, applications and system components from the field of non-contact measuring and testing technology and provide users with initial guidance in selecting the right technology for their own testing tasks. Companies, research institutions and universities interested in participating are asked to submit an exhibit proposal to Fraunhofer Vision -
In recent years, the special show "Contactless Measurement Technology" has established itself as a communication platform and marketplace for innovations for exhibitors and trade fair visitors alike and is now an integral part of the Control trade fair. As the performance and flexibility of modern systems continue to grow, ever larger scale ranges are being covered and new fields of application are being opened up, it is not easy for users to find their way around the market. The special show therefore offers visitors guidance in selecting the right technology for their own testing tasks.
As is the case every year, the latest developments and innovative measuring and testing systems will be presented that are based on the principle of non-contact operation. On the one hand, the focus will be on testing or measuring external or visible features of components or materials. Relevant technologies for this include light sectioning, fringe projection, photogrammetry, white light interferometry, holography, time of flight or confocal measurement methods. A platform will also be provided for measuring and testing techniques for the interior of materials that operate in the non-visible part of the wavelength spectrum, such as thermography, X-ray, ultrasound or terahertz, as well as spectroscopic methods such as hyperspectral imaging.
Last but not least, the special show also offers the opportunity to place exhibits on the topics of "artificial intelligence" and "machine learning" in the field of image processing, as there is a great need for information in this area on the part of potential users.
The special show "Non-contact measurement technology" at the Control trade fair is organized jointly by the Fraunhofer Vision office in Fürth and P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG, Frickenhausen.
