The countdown has begun for the first completely digital Business Summit at IFAT. Here, everything revolves around environmental technologies used in industry - from the chemical and food sectors to construction - as well as in municipalities. The IFAT impact Business Summit brings together the global environmental industry and its customers over three days. Participation is free for visitors and the platform will go live at the end of August.
"We are bringing the international IFAT network together digitally for the first time and want to show new perspectives and test new, innovative formats during the coronavirus crisis," explains Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München. One thing is clear in all formats: "The demand for environmental technologies in the areas of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management will continue to grow in the future. Municipalities and industries around the world are being encouraged to use resources sustainably, not least by political initiatives such as the European Green Deal or the 5-year plan in China."
Product presentations, solution tours, market insights
The foundation of the Business Summit is the approximately 3,300 companies that have registered for IFAT in Munich - around half of which come from international markets. All of them are listed in the exhibitor portal, with a wide range of information on products and solutions. During the Business Summit, numerous exhibitors, including start-ups, will also offer digital product presentations and 1:1 meetings. In addition to these interactive networking opportunities, an extensive conference program will be streamed live, providing insights into international markets and trend topics such as artificial intelligence. There will also be solution tours: moderated presentations focusing on individual problems in recycling, water supply or clean air.
Participants design their own individual program
Participants can use the Summit Planner on the platform to put together an individual program for the three days and book presentations and appointments with the exhibitors. Participation is free of charge. It is worth starting planning at the end of August when the platform goes live. The program will be continuously expanded until the start of the Summit.
