The 3River Metal Group had a positive 2021 financial year in a difficult market environment. Despite the coronavirus pandemic and a shortage of raw materials, sales increased by 5% year-on-year in the past financial year. In addition, 3River was able to acquire further interesting customers, including from the construction and automotive sectors.
Despite the coronavirus crisis, the DIW predicts positive growth figures in the construction sector for residential construction, public construction and commercial construction in 2022. "The construction industry in particular offers us opportunities for growth this year," explains Dierk Behrmann, CEO of the 3River Metal Group. "And the stability of supply chains is becoming more important than ever in these uncertain political and pandemic times," says Behrmann. "That is why we are planning further investments in machines and systems for our customers in 2022 in order to avoid dependencies as far as possible."
With this in mind, the 3River Metal Group and the alphametall group entered into a strategic partnership at the end of 2021. The cooperation began with a significant stake in the Polish companies of the 3River Metal Group and the joint construction of new production halls. Here too, the aim is to create a structure that is as stable and flexible as possible in order to cushion or even completely avoid any external influences on customers. Both the 3 River Group and the alphametall group have been successful in the field of aluminum processing for decades. The aim of the new strategic partnership is to combine and further develop the core competencies of both companies.
The alphametall group has sites in Germany, France, the Czech Republic and Asia, while the 3River Metal Group is based in Germany, Hungary and Poland. The merger of the group of companies therefore offers the opportunity to generate and utilize locational advantages among each other. These offer both the companies and their customers interesting prospects for further joint growth.
The 3River Metal Group sees itself as a general manager for the entire aluminum production process. From the procurement of raw materials to production and finishing, the group of companies guarantees the highest quality and on-time delivery at all times. The 3River Metal Group comprises the companies "Pannonmetal", "Elrec", "Teconsult" and "I.C.I.". The group is represented in Germany, Hungary and Poland. This is where the name "3River Metal Group" comes from: the companies are located on the Rhine, Oder and Danube rivers.
