From June 21 to 24, 2022, the international laboratory industry will once again meet live at its largest industry platform, analytica, in Munich. The world's leading trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology will focus in particular on the ongoing digitalization of laboratories. The analytica conference and a comprehensive supporting program, which focuses on practice-oriented knowledge transfer, will run parallel to the exhibition.
As analysis, biotechnology and laboratory technology play an important role in combating the pandemic, the industry's potential remains high. For German companies alone, the industry association SPECTARIS is provisionally expecting an increase in sales of up to ten percent in 2021. After analytica 2020 was successfully held as a purely virtual event, analytica 2022 will fill five halls at the Munich exhibition grounds as usual. "Exhibitors are looking forward to finally being able to discuss innovations and products live again and are confident about the summer," explains Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe München. "For them, analytica is the most important industry get-together that covers the entire spectrum of topics relating to laboratories in research and industry - and does so more extensively and in greater depth than any other trade fair in the world."
Armin Wittmann, Project Manager of analytica, adds: "With analytica, we are offering the industry a platform to work together on the laboratory of the future. Laboratory workflows are becoming increasingly digitalized and more and more devices need to be networked in order to make laboratory processes more efficient. At the trade fair, we bring together the necessary expertise so that the exchange between research, companies and users contributes to the joint further development of analysis and laboratory technology for Laboratory 4.0."
Industry meeting of the market leaders
All national and international market leaders in the industry confirmed their participation at the beginning of the year, including Thermo Fisher Scientific, Beckman Coulter, Mettler Toledo, WALDNER Laboreinrichtungen, eppendorf, Olympus Germany, Shimadzu Germany, LAUDA DR. R. WOBSER and many more. The trade fair has seen a particular increase in exhibitors working in the fields of COVID analysis and research. Siegbert Holtermüller, Chairman of the analytica Exhibitor Advisory Board and Head of Sales Europe Life Science at Olympus, sums up the mood among the exhibitors: "The industry is looking forward to analytica 2022. We will finally have the opportunity to meet our trade visitors in person again to present innovations they can touch."
analytica conference and accompanying program focus on knowledge transfer
The exhibition area is complemented by the analytica conference and an extensive supporting program, which is all about practice-oriented knowledge transfer and direct exchange between users and scientists. The renowned analytica conference has been bringing research and industry together for many years: For three days, international scientists and specialists will provide information on the latest research findings, innovative methods and their techniques and areas of application in specialist presentations. Various forums in the supporting programme deal with daily work in the laboratory: experts present solutions for digitalization in the laboratory, innovative products in the fields of life sciences, biotechnology and diagnostics as well as best practice tips for making laboratory processes more efficient. The Finance Day provides information on financing options for start-ups, small and medium-sized companies.
A first: analytica 2022 will take place for the first time at the same time as automatica, the leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics, and ceramitec, the international meeting place for the ceramics industry. As a result, exhibitors will benefit from synergy effects. For example, the ceramics industry needs analytical equipment to research new materials, while intelligent solutions from the automation sector are needed for the advancing digitalization in the laboratory. All exhibitor and visitor tickets for analytica entitle the holder to admission to the two parallel trade fairs.
