Due to the still fragile corona situation, stricter hygiene and distancing regulations for trade fairs in Baden-Württemberg and ongoing restrictions on international travel, PaintExpo 2020 will now be canceled after all The next world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology will take place in 2022 as scheduled.
"Together with exhibitors and partners, we had hoped to be able to organize PaintExpo 2020 in October with appropriate measures for the health and safety of all participants. In the meantime, however, the circumstances have changed, among other things due to new regulations for holding trade fairs in Baden-Württemberg, so that we now have to cancel the event after all," reports Jürgen Haußmann, Managing Director of the organizer FairFair GmbH. This decision was made on the basis of a survey of all PaintExpo 2020 exhibitors, in which the majority also spoke out against another postponement.
Many companies are currently preoccupied with the economic impact of the corona pandemic, so participating in the trade fair is not at the top of their list of priorities. In addition, the protection of health and the containment of infections continue to play a central role. Contacts and travel activities are therefore limited to necessary interactions. This also means that some companies are banning visits to trade fairs and international travel remains strictly limited. Another key reason for deciding against organizing PaintExpo 2020 was the requirements of the planned "Corona Ordinance on Trade Fairs" of the Baden-Württemberg state government.
"We will now devote all of our energy to preparing the next PaintExpo in order to offer the industry the best conditions for successful participation in the trade fair." The next world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology will take place at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center from April 26 to 29, 2022.
