The international industrial company Alfa Laval is expanding its production capacities for heat exchangers in Sweden, Italy, China and the USA as part of an increased investment program. This will also meet the increased demand on the German market.
Alfa Laval is investing around 334 million euros (SEK 3.8 billion) in a capacity expansion program for heat exchangers. The investments will be used to increase production, sales and service capacity at four existing Alfa Laval sites in Sweden, Italy, China and the USA. The decision to expand capacity is based on increased demand to support customers in the ongoing global energy transition.
"In 2022, we made the decision to increase capacity to address parts of the demand imbalance, and now we see additional growth opportunities - today's investment announcement is the result," says Tom Erixon, President and CEO of Alfa Laval.
Sven Schreiber, Managing Director of Alfa Laval Mid Europe and responsible for the German-speaking region, adds: "The increased investment program will also enable us to better serve the increased demand in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in recent years."
