Dr. W. Kampschulte was a leading German electroplating company based in Solingen. It not only supplied chemical additives for the surface finishing of metal goods of all kinds (chrome, nickel, gold and silver), but also technical equipment, in particular automated electroplating lines from the 1930s onwards. The founders, Heinrich and Wilhelm Kampschulte, established the company in Ohligs in 1891 and later moved to Solingen, as many companies in the cutlery industry here required electroplating surface processes for their products. Over the years, the company expanded its range to meet the needs of the various metalworking companies in the Solingen region and surrounding area.
