With its entry in the register of associations, the Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie (GDA) officially receives its new name: Aluminum Germany (AD). The association is thus taking account of the changed political and social framework conditions. The focus is now on the material. The name change expresses the association's new public orientation: The aluminum industry wants to increase its presence in the public eye and intensify dialogue with the various stakeholders from society, business and politics.
Dr. Hinrich Mählmann, President of Aluminium Germany, emphasizes: "With the association's new image, we are focusing on the material. Aluminum is a central building block on the way to a climate-neutral society. We therefore want to highlight our potential even more clearly and further strengthen our alliance with customers and politicians. This is what the name "Aluminum Germany" stands for.
Aluminum Germany represents the interests of aluminum as a material and its supply chain for a strong industrial location - from metal production to recycling to the finished product.
