The ALUMINIUM Business Summit (ABS) is being held under the motto Shaping a new Industrial Era. The new format will take place for the first time on September 28 and 29 - as a hybrid event.
A strong thematic line-up - what is driving the aluminum industry this decade?
Setting the course for the 2020s: Top speakers will present and discuss on the podium. Decision-makers from the aluminum industry, key customer sectors such as aerospace and the automotive industry, start-ups and think tanks will share their views on the material and the industry. Climate protection and sustainability, mobility of tomorrow, recycling and circular economy, digitalization and many other key topics are the focus of the ALUMINIUM Business Summit. Marius Baader, Managing Director of Aluminium Germany, emphasizes: "Our industry is in full transition. This decade will be decisive for the competitiveness of the location. With the ABS, we are offering a forum to sharpen our own focus once again. And we can meet in person again".
The ABS provides an initial preview of ALUMINIUM 2022, which will reopen its doors next fall with a new concept and focus. The congress will take place on September 28 and 29, 2021 at the Altes Stahlwerk in Düsseldorf. Its hybrid format allows for two forms of participation: in person on site or virtually via livestream.
"The ALUMINIUM Business Summit is a new format for the future," says Project Manager Malte Seifert: "The Business Summit has emerged from discussions and thoughts with the industry and our partners in order to maintain the dialog and exchange of ideas in the industry as intensively as it wishes and deserves in addition to the two-year leading world trade fair in Düsseldorf. We look forward to physically bringing the aluminum industry together again on 28 and 29 September and to seeing many familiar and new faces."
