New software functions: Automatic determination of fill levels and internal volumes

The 3D_Evolution Simplifier software, known for data reduction and know-how protection, has a newly developed function that enables the automatic determination of fill levels in tank systems or room volumes in air conditioning systems and vehicle interiors.

The Franco-German software manufacturer CoreTechnologie has added new functions to its renowned 3D_Evolution Simplifier software. In addition to the generation of 3D envelope geometries for data reduction and know-how protection, the new tool now performs the otherwise very time-consuming calculation of the interior volume for determining fill levels in tank systems or other room volumes in complex assemblies such as vehicle interiors at the touch of a button.

Simple data determination and processing

From a starting point defined by the user within the assembly, a virtual balloon is inflated to represent the volume of air or liquid in the interior. If necessary, auxiliary geometries are generated in the software to delimit the internal volume or to define certain filling heights. The internal volume is calculated and displayed using a voxel model with a freely definable edge length, which influences the calculation accuracy. The internal volume is represented by a triangulated solid, which is converted into formats such as jt, stl or cgr for further processing in other systems. The virtual balloon can also be used in data simplification to automatically select internal or external components

The tool processes over 40 different 3D formats, including Catia, Creo, Nx, Solidworks, JT and STEP without access to a CAD license and can therefore be used flexibly in any environment
