Award-winning innovative strength: DENIOS AG from Bad Oeynhausen is once again one of the innovation leaders among German SMEs this year.
This is the fourth time that DENIOS has made the leap into the renowned innovation elite. The global market leader for corporate environmental protection and occupational safety had previously proven its innovative strength in a scientific selection process.
On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the TOP 100 innovation competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the innovative strength of DENIOS. The researchers used around 120 test criteria from five categories as a basis: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. Essentially, the focus is on whether innovations are the result of a planned approach or a product of chance. And whether and how the corresponding solutions succeed on the market. Due to the current situation, this round also included a special section examining the corporate response to the coronavirus crisis.
DENIOS has been a pioneer in the development of certified products for the legally compliant storage of hazardous substances for 35 years. This pioneering role manifests itself in a large number of patent applications and a culture of innovation that is actively promoted by top management. This also includes systematic idea management, which is supported by a ten-person innovation team and regularly collects and evaluates suggestions from the workforce.
"This new award is both a very special honour and an incentive for us to further expand our customer service with the help of a consistent digitalization strategy. Working with hazardous substances will become even more convenient in the future with DENIOS products," promises DENIOS CEO Horst Rose.
Pioneering developments include, for example, the world's first sliding door system with 120 minutes of fire protection, as well as the first leakage warning system, which networks drip pans for the first time and digitizes leakage management thanks to IoT technology. The communication capability of DENIOS room systems is increasingly made possible with the help of sensors and control technology, which are also intelligently linked to cloud-based e-services.
There will be another reason to celebrate on November 26, 2021: All the winners of the current TOP 100 year will come together to receive congratulations from Ranga Yogeshwar at the 7th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. The science journalist has been mentoring the innovation competition for ten years.
