With immediate effect, Bodo Möller Chemie is taking over sales for plastics, printing and coating applications for selected customers in the DACH region as well as Spain, Portugal, France and the Benelux countries. This step complements the acquisition of Merck's Surface Solutions business in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland, which also took place on May 1. The pigments and additives are used in the paint and coating industry, the printing industry and in the processing of plastics. From decorative printing to high-quality coatings, effect pigments and functional additives help to make products more colorful, functional and durable. "We are very pleased to further expand our collaboration with Merck as a manufacturer of innovative products, especially for effect pigments. We are thus continuing on our path to becoming a full-service know-how and product provider and can offer our customers Distribution 2.0," says Florian Krückl, Vice President Global Business Management CASE & Textile Effects of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
Customized solutions
The Bodo Möller Chemie Group has been growing for years, cooperating with leading manufacturers and has made a name for itself among customers as a product and application expert. In addition to the comprehensive product catalog, the industry can also draw on extensive application and processing knowledge for tailor-made overall solutions. "The Bodo Möller Chemie Group has excellent market access, resilient logistics networks and in-depth application knowledge. It is a valuable partner for us when it comes to targeting customers locally," says Michael Weiden, Head of EMEA Surface Solutions at Merck.
From product to application
Modern development and production processes are faster than ever and therefore require far more expertise from suppliers than before. In-depth application knowledge complements Bodo Möller Chemie's extensive product range on the sales side. Customer-specific formulations, laboratory tests for processability and other specialized services offer customers significant advantages. Fast development cycles and efficient design methods shift some of the development work from the corporate groups to the supplier and distribution sector. "Our sales model has long been a service concept with subsequent delivery of the optimum product for further processing," adds Florian Krückl, Vice President Global Business Management CASE & Textile Effects of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
