Brenntag Specialties expands enzyme portfolio for the detergent market

Brenntag, the global market leader in the distribution of chemicals and ingredients, is expanding its enzyme portfolio with the launch of the Brenntag Perforzyme™ product line for the North American detergent market (HI&I).

Enzymes are biologically active proteins that can break down specific soils to improve the effectiveness of laundry and dishwashing detergents. The product line is available immediately and includes both liquid and granular enzymes and is marketed under the following names:

  • Perforzyme P810L, protease, liquid
  • Perforzyme P79L, protease, liquid
  • Perforzyme P79LU, protease, liquid
  • Perforzyme CL, cellulase, liquid
  • Perforzyme ALTL, amylase, liquid
  • Perforzyme A200L, amylase, liquid
  • Perforzyme LIPL, lipase, liquid
  • Perforzyme P810G, protease, granular
  • Perforzyme P79G, protease, granular
  • Perforzyme CG, cellulase, granular
  • Perforzyme ALTG, amylase, granular
  • Perforzyme LIPG, lipase, granular

These enzymes significantly improve the cleaning performance of laundry detergents as well as hand and automatic dishwashing detergents compared to products without enzymes. For example, enzymes help to remove grass and blood stains as well as chocolate pudding stains. They are natural substances and biodegradable.
