KUKA honored with the Empolis Customer Solution Award 2020

KUKA was honored today with the "Empolis Customer Solution Award 2020" as part of the "Technical Summit 2020". With around 14,000 employees, the Augsburg-based company is one of the world's leading suppliers of robotics and automation technology and a pioneer of Industry 4.0.

With the Customer Solution Award, Empolis recognizes successful collaboration in the introduction of intelligent service solutions every year. This is the case with the robot knowledge database KUKA Xpert, which is based on the cloud software "Empolis Service Express" and in which around 20,000 users from all over the world regularly search for information about KUKA robots. The automation expert has now received the coveted award because the self-help tool has been consistently further developed and optimized.

The knowledge database provides KUKA customers with a helpful and user-friendly tool to help them find their way around the world of robotics. The application communicates with users and provides additional information on their topics. "We have expanded and optimized KUKA Xpert, especially in terms of user-friendliness," says Miklos Lörinczi-Karn, Head of Training Germany at KUKA. "The search function now works better and customers can find their solution more quickly."

Together with Empolis, the solution was optimized so that users from Korea, for example, can search in their national language and then receive the appropriate answer in English. "We also use the system internally at KUKA, but first and foremost we optimize it for our customers. After all, around three quarters of the 20,000 registered users come from outside the company," says Miklos Lörinczi-Karn.
