It offers a sound introduction to the basics of electrochemistry with a special focus on its application in practice. The target group is trainees, prospective master craftsmen and technicians.
It covers topics such as the properties of electrolytes, current transport in electrochemical systems and the structure and function of electrochemical cells, as well as the course of electrochemical reactions and the role of parameters such as current density and polarization and their process control. The theoretical fundamentals focus on practical applicability, with typical challenges in electroplating technology and their solutions being discussed.
