New IHO board member - Alexander Nix heads the metal industry and technical cleaning division

There was an important personnel change at the fall meetings of the Industrial Association for Hygiene and Surface Protection (IHO). Alexander Nix, Stockmeier Chemie GmbH, was elected Chairman of the Metal Industry and Technical Cleaning Division. Alexander Nix succeeds Adelbert Förtsch in the IHO, who previously headed the Metal Cleaning Division until 2019. Mr. Nix is therefore also a member of the IHO Board of Directors for the next two years in accordance with the Articles of Association.

Alexander Nix is a proven expert in technical cleaning

The new Chairman of the Metal Cleaning Division, Alexander Nix, is a qualified chemical engineer (FH Aachen). He began his professional career in 1998 at Dansotec GmbH, where he initially worked as an application engineer and from 2001 as development and sales manager. In 2006, Mr. Nix took over the management of Dansotec GmbH after the death of the company founder. In 2012, Dansotec was sold to Stockmeier Chemie GmbH & Co. At Stockmeier Chemie, Mr. Nix has been working in the area of sales management, product management and development in the field of surface technology since 2012. Since 2020, Mr. Nix's responsibilities have also included product management and development in the "Carwash" area.

Association work is gaining in importance in the face of increasing bureaucratic hurdles

"We are delighted with the election of Alexander Nix. With Mr. Nix, the IHO has gained an expert with many years of experience in all aspects of technical cleaning. We are very pleased to breathe fresh air into the topics of the metal industry and technical cleaning in our association," says IHO Managing Director Dr. Thomas Rauch. "I am looking forward to the new task at the IHO and the trust placed in me by the specialist area. Especially in times of crisis, when we are facing a multitude of challenges, the association's work is important in order to be able to work together with other companies on overarching issues such as REACH inspections by the authorities, the separator-friendliness of cleaners or the Ö-Norm for car washes in the best possible way," says Alexander Nix on the occasion of his election.
