Since January 1, 2020, Norbert Pietschmann has headed the Analytics and Materials Testing group in the Coating Systems and Paint/Lacquer Technology department at the
Fraunhofer IPA. The doctor of chemistry succeeds Dr. Katharina Weber, who has accepted a teaching position at Aalen University of Applied Sciences. Pietschmann will be involved in funding projects with a focus on UV curing and plastic coating, for example, as well as in the service sector. Pietschmann brings with him many years of experience from his work at the Institute for Coatings and Paints in Magdeburg. There he worked on numerous research projects and industrial contracts and held various management positions.
