Together with Vincentz Network, the internationally renowned provider of information and networking services for the coatings industry, NürnbergMesse is creating two new must-attend events for the paint and coatings industry in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. From 21 to 23 September 2022, the two partners will initiate the Pacific Coatings Show for the first time at the Jakarta International Expo convention center in Indonesia. In the United Arab Emirates, NürnbergMesse and Vincentz Network will jointly organize the Gulf Coatings Show at the Expo Centre Sharjah from 16 to 18 October 2022. Both trade fairs will take place every two years in future.
With the Pacific Coatings Show and the Gulf Coatings Show, we are opening up new communication channels for interested exhibitors and visitors and thus sales opportunities in global and local future markets. What is decisive for us is that the success factors of the European Coatings Show as the world's leading trade fair for the coatings industry - such as an attractive price-performance ratio, integration into the global network of our Coatings Shows, high service quality, a globally recognized coatings technology conference, a fixed location and a two-year cycle - also apply to our new events. They are already supported by industry giants such as Evonik, Niemann and VMA-Getzmann," says Alexander Mattausch, Executive Director Exhibitions, NürnbergMesse.

And indeed: according to forecasts, the entire Asia-Pacific region will account for the largest share, around 50 percent, of the global paint and coatings market in the future. The Southeast Asian markets for paints and coatings are predicted to grow at an average rate of around 5% over the next five years. Reasons for this include a growing manufacturing sector, the booming construction industry, high demand for decorative products and the increasing role as a major automotive location.
The Middle East, as a hub between three continents, is also considered a lucrative future market for the coatings industry. In 2019, the size of the regional coatings market in the Middle East and North Africa was estimated at a total value of USD 9.875 million, with a volume of 3.125 million liters. According to forecasts, this is expected to grow by 4.1% in value and 2.6% in volume per year over the next five years.
