Conductive additives such as carbon black or graphite play an important role in battery research. Their material properties make a decisive contribution to the performance of a battery cell. The conductivity efficiency of the additives depends on the size, structure and porosity of the primary particles.
With the PD-51 powder measurement system from Nittoseiko Analytech, it is possible to determine the physical properties of powders via the specific resistance. This system realizes a simple measuring procedure for the determination of the specific resistance under controlled pressure up to 20kN. The powder measuring system consists of a pressure chamber and a hydraulic unit.
The powder or granulate to be measured is pressed into a special measuring head. The specific resistance is determined with the Loresta-GX devices for the low-resistance measuring range 10^-4 b or with the Hiresta-UX for the high-resistance measuring range up to 1014.
The company N&H Technology GmbH from Willich represents the measuring devices from Nittoseiko Analytech exclusively in the DACH and BENELUX region and offers the corresponding service and support. The company also offers the measurement of material samples as a service. The customer receives a detailed test report for each measurement.
