The fume scrubbers in the Airtop series from system manufacturer Richard Tscherwitschke GmbH will in future be optionally equipped with an industrial remote maintenance gateway.
Exhaust air scrubbers generally work very reliably, especially if they have a redundant design. Nevertheless, fault messages can occasionally occur, for example if the pump pressure monitoring system reports contamination or the pH value measurement shows that the required limit values are no longer being adhered to. Those responsible on site are instructed on possible malfunctions and how to rectify them during commissioning. However, some time may pass and knowledge about the actual faults may be lost. The manufacturer's service must often be called upon.
Remote maintenance is common practice for plant and machine control systems. However, this requirement is often not explicitly requested in the specifications for components that play a secondary role in the production process. The solution used offers a global VPN infrastructure for 24/7/365 access and is security-certified in accordance with Isecom Star and ISO 27001.
