The Association for the Surface Finishing of Aluminum e. V. (VOA) has presented its 2022/2023 annual report. It provides information on the VOA's numerous fields of activity and projects as well as its practice-oriented services.
In view of the current crisis cocktail of exploding costs for energy and raw materials as well as the shortage of labor and skilled workers, the climate-neutral and sustainable transformation of the economy and the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic that are still being felt today, the association has taken action on behalf of its members. An energy project group was set up and numerous digital information events were also offered, for example on energy procurement strategies, the gas and electricity price brake and the current energy policy situation. The shortage of skilled workers was and remains the second major challenge for the surface finishing industry. Here, the association helped companies to position themselves to secure the skilled workforce of tomorrow. In the field of research, the VOA has project groups dedicated to the areas of anodization, coating and paint stripping. The VOA annual report is available for download at: www.voa.de
