Large crowds of visitors, qualified expert discussions, attractive exhibition stands and innovative technologies - the Intec and Z industrial trade fairs celebrated a strong comeback at Leipziger Messe from March 7 to 10, 2023. In addition, GrindTec, the international trade fair for tool machining and tool grinding, enriched the trade fair network for the first time and got off to a successful start at the new location in Leipzig. The Leipzig trade seminar was held in parallel on March 9.
At Intec, Z and GrindTec, 821 exhibitors from 29 countries presented their innovations on an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters, and 19,300 visitors from 49 countries came to find out about them. Exhibitors and visitors were very satisfied with the trade fair. The trade fair trio of Intec, Z and GrindTec impressed as an international meeting place for the metalworking industry as well as the supplier and tool sector. "We are delighted with the huge number of visitors and the great atmosphere in the exhibition halls. Our trade fair group presented itself as innovative, powerful and international," says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. And Markus Horn, Managing Director of Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrik Paul Horn from Tübingen, reports: "Intec is a permanent fixture in our trade fair calendar and we can sum it up: The 2023 event was very well attended.
The proportion of trade visitors was disproportionately high and the trade fair was an absolute success for us." The visitors also drew a positive conclusion: in the survey, 96% of visitors said that they would recommend the trade fair association to others. 93% of those surveyed are certain that they will visit the next edition of the trade fairs again. In addition, 85% of the visitors surveyed stated that their visit to the trade fair was worthwhile. The proportion of decision-makers among the visitors was over 50%. The industry's top topics were not only discussed at the trade fair stands: The clear focus on current industry developments ensured that the trade fair association's specialist program was also very well received. The events and special shows on forward-looking topics such as additive manufacturing, sensor technology and value creation through hydrogen were very well received by visitors over the four days of the trade fair.
he specialist program thus offered a further contact platform where experts could exchange ideas. The Industry's Hidden Champions Conference and the Skilled Workers' Day were also important components of the trade program. The final of the Toolgrinder Challenge at GrindTec was an exciting event: Martin Maier, a journeyman at JERSA, won the competition and is therefore the best precision tool grinder of the year. The next edition of the international trade fair trio Intec, Z and GrindTec will be held at Leipziger Messe from March 11 to 14, 2025.
