What further training is required for digitalization

According to Federal Labour Minister Hubertus Heil, up to 1.3 million jobs will be lost in Germany by 2025 as a result of digitalization. The good news is that 2.5 million new jobs will be created at the same time. Training expert Oliver Wolter from TÜV Nord Akademie explains which tasks are affected by digitalization, which skills are becoming increasingly important and which training courses are particularly in demand.
"Jobs with routine tasks or simple manual operations are at risk from digitalization, whereas technical know-how and analytical skills are becoming increasingly important.
analytical skills are becoming increasingly important." Furthermore, according to a study by the World Economic Forum, around 54% of all employees at large companies require further training or retraining in order to survive in Industry 4.0.
Two areas are currently in particular demand in this context: data protection and information management. This is because digitalization is changing working methods and legal frameworks, as the example of the European General Data Protection Regulation shows. Companies therefore increasingly need employees with specialist knowledge in order to be prepared for these changes and not miss the boat.
