6th edition of the ISAM in Dresden in May

Additive manufacturing (usually referred to simply as 3D printing) has become increasingly important for industrial applications. Fascinating technical solutions, coupled with exciting economic benefits, are strong drivers for research and development efforts worldwide.

The 6th International Symposium on Additive Manufacturing (ISAM 2025) in Dresden from May 21 to 23, 2025 aims to show how AM technology can contribute significantly to increasing industrial value creation today and in the future. The conference will clearly focus on the dynamic topics of the industry as well as collaboration between the scientific communities.

Experts from all over the world will report on the latest developments, perspectives and applications of additive manufacturing. Digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence will help to further push the boundaries of AM processes. ISAM 2025 will once again offer a unique platform for the exchange of ideas and industrial networking. Participants will gain exciting insights into new topics and benefit from discussions with experts, developers and users. The symposium is jointly organized by Fraunhofer IWS, which also operates the Additive Manufacturing Center Dresden (AMCD), and TU Dresden. The program also includes an industry exhibition and a poster session as well as the Fraunhofer IWS open lab.
