Adapted to every batch size

They consist of a self-priming, magnetically coupled centrifugal pump, a flow meter and a control unit. The user can precisely adjust the delivery rate to achieve the exact filling quantity - even with changing media and container sizes.

Mobile filling system with pump, flow meter and dosing control Whether chemicals, cleaning agents or disinfectants - manufacturers must fill the liquid media safely into the sales packaging at the end of production. Standard chemicals and cleaning agents, for example, are usually available in large quantities. As a rule, fully automatic filling lines with subsequent palletizing of the containers are used here. However, this is more difficult for specialty chemicals. These are often filled in small batch sizes - and in varying quantities.

Automatic filling systems are therefore neither economical nor flexible enough. Sondermann Pumpen + Filter GmbH & Co KG, based in Cologne, supplies efficient filling systems for this purpose. These consist of a mobile console with a protective cover in which all the necessary components are compactly installed. This includes a centrifugal pump (designed as a self-priming magnetically coupled pump in the Safetec pump set).

The operator can continuously adjust the speed and delivery rate via an integrated frequency converter and thus easily adapt it to different filling quantities. The filling quantity is recorded by a liquid flow meter with integrated dosing electronics, in which the desired filling quantities are stored. The pump and solenoid valve are switched separately from each other. This ensures high filling accuracy for small containers as well as fast filling.

When the operator starts the process, the container is pre-filled at full capacity up to around 90 percent. The pump speed is automatically reduced. When the target quantity is reached, the pump switches off and closes the solenoid valve.

Flexible use

Abfüllset mit selbstansaugender Magnetpumpe Filling set with self-priming solenoid pump Sondermann can equip the system with a specially coded radio remote control on request. This protects it from the influence of other radio systems. With this operating option and the mobile design, the user is also extremely flexible - for example, if the storage and mixing tanks are located in different parts of the building.

Employees also benefit from a high level of ergonomics, as they can fill the containers standing directly on the pallet using the hand-guided lance. Once a layer of pallets is finished, they set up a new layer of empty containers. This eliminates the need for heavy carrying.

One challenge that can arise, particularly when filling cleaners, is foam development. Exact dosing is therefore almost impossible. To counteract this, Sondermann can deliberately oversize the centrifugal pump:

With a high filling capacity and reduced speed, no unwanted foam can develop. Another option is a special outlet nozzle at the end of the filling lance. Inside this nozzle, the medium flows over a mesh fabric. This also has a lasting effect on foam formation. Foaming media can thus be filled above the surface, where otherwise a more complex filling below the surface would be necessary.
