Über die Korrosion und den Korrosionsschutz von Aluminium

Nach Darlegung der einzelnen Korrosionsarten wird in diesem Aufsatz auf die chemische Beständigkeit von Aluminium hingewiesen. Berücksichtigt werden Witterungseinflüsse, Wässer und die Einflüsse der Spannungsreihe im Zusammenhang mit der Ausbildung und dem Wert der natürlich gebildeten Oxidschicht. Darauf wird über die verschiedenen chemischen und elektrochemischen Schutzverfohren berichtet sowie über Anstrich und Einbrennlackieren.
In this paper means for the protection of Aluminium from corrosion are discussed. Having explained the different types of corrosion which may occur on Aluminium, the author comments on the chemical resistance of Aluminium, considering first of all the importance of the naturally formed oxyde film on Aluminium as well as the influences exerted upon this original oxyde film by atmospheric conditions, water and the electrochemical series. The author continues with the description of the various chemical and electrochemical processes for the protection of Aluminium from corrosion ond closes by referring to painting and stove enamelling processes that can be applied.
