With effect from May 1, 2022, the Management Board of CemeCon AG was restructured due to Toni Leyendecker's move to the Supervisory Board. The company will remain family-owned. Since CemeCon was founded over 35 years ago, founder, owner and, until recently, CEO Toni Leyendecker has stood for the innovative spirit and visionary power of the company.
He transformed diamond and PVD coating technologies from an experimental field at the time to today's industry standard. Today, CemeCon is regarded as the global market leader in the diamond sector and, at the latest since the introduction of HiPIMS - as a consistent further development of sputter coating technology - also as the technology leader in the PVD sector.
Toni Leyendecker is now moving from the operational business to the Supervisory Board upon reaching retirement age and will take over as Chairman. Oliver Lemmer will take his place as CEO. He will be joined by Bernd Hermeler as the new COO and Dr.-Ing. Beate Hüttermann, CMO responsible for Sales and Marketing. All three have been shaping and developing the company for decades.
