The advantages of sustainable and economical coating with vacuum inline processes continue to gain acceptance worldwide. Singulus Technologies has booked another order for a Polycoater vacuum coating system. The Polycoater is already being used by a Korean customer.
The coating processes developed and used by Singulus Technologies are particularly environmentally friendly compared to conventional electroplating. The polycoater also enables the economical and sustainable chromium (VI)-free coating of components from various industrial sectors such as the cosmetics, packaging and automotive industries.
The coating system from Singulus Technologies is designed as an inline machine and works according to the principle of vacuum cathode sputtering (physical vapor deposition = PVD). This offers numerous process-specific advantages. Compared to conventional batch production using the vacuum vapor deposition process, this solution automates the manufacturing process and significantly reduces production costs thanks to the short cycle times of inline production. For optimum coating from all sides, the components are turned in a vacuum.
