Modern defoamers have to do more than just prevent foam: They must also be sustainable and safe to use. Two new defoamer concentrates from Evonik meet precisely these requirements: TEGO Foamex 8820 and 8850 have a renewable raw material content of more than 55%.
They have comparable defoaming power to siloxane-based products and can be used in compliance with numerous regulations, such as Swiss Ordinance (Part A), FDA and others. TEGO® Foamex 8820 and 8850 are 100% active products based on renewable oils and contain no solvents, biocides or mineral oil.
TEGO® Foamex 8820 is very powerful and shear stable, ideal for use in grinding. The proportion of renewable raw materials is more than 55 %. TEGO® Foamex 8850 is easier to incorporate and better tolerated. This gentler defoamer with more than 95 % renewable raw materials is the first choice for adding to the coating material.
