Am 16.05.2023 wurde weltweit der Tag des Lichts gefeiert. Hintergrund: Am 16. Mai vor genau 63 Jahren gelang es Theodore Maiman zum ersten Mal einen Laser einzusetzen. Auch der Forschungscampus Digital Photonic Production (DPP) in Aachen nutzt das gebündelte Licht in Form von Laserstrahlen als Schlüsseltechnologie für die effiziente und nachhaltigere Produktion der Zukunft.
